This busy pace is set to continue. Brillantmont is one of the only schools in Switzerland to offer the British IGCSE and A Level examinations and these renowned examinations, which open doors all over the world, have already started. Revision is well underway and Mr Mc Clean’s top tips are a great revision tool. With calm, careful planning and focus, with calm, careful planning and focus, we’re confident for their success.
So, time to put aside the chocolate eggs and it’s heads down! Happy Easter!

Habitat for Humanity

A group of ten students and teachers Ms Tongue and Mrs Ho Tai are currently in Vietnam as part of a Habitat for Humanity building project. Based near Hanoi, they are currently busy brick and foundation laying for a family who will eventually live in their construction. The conditions are often challenging and the work is physically demanding but the team are very committed. They do have a little time off however to explore the local area and local culture. You can follow their adventures here in their blog.

A recent cross-curricular project led by the Maths Department has heightened environmental awareness. Using geometrical drawings, students constructed ” Beastie Hotels”, which are now set up in the gardens and awaiting their first occupants. These impressive constructions provide shelter for insects, offering them a home in sometimes adverse weather conditions. The hotels promote diversity and insect pollination and are beneficial to the garden. This project has provided a great opportunity for students to work collaboratively, to hone their design skills and to study insect life and its impact. What’s more, as the insects arrive, the “BM Beastie Hotels” are nearly fully booked for summer!
